I am a software engineer and I have been always interested in the finance world, especially in trading, but I have never tried to do it before. I own some stock as investment but nothing really important and I never traded with them I am just holding it.
Recently I started to get interested in bitcoin and in all the blockchain as technology. As it is actually easy to buy some of them, why I do not start also trading with them? What can go wrong? there are a lot of people less smart than me that are making a lot of money trading, why would I lose money?
But then I started thinking: Whenever somebody wins there is somebody else loosing... This is valid for trading in general not just for trading cryptocurrencies.
I read some article in internet and it seems that just 5% of the traders make money, the rest is losing money :O
Then I wanted to test myself and actually trading real money. I started to have a look at indicators on when to enter a trade and how to exit it... At the end it is easy no? *Buy low sell high!*. But how do you know when it is low and is not going further low? I do not think anyone can answer that question.
So at this point you want to know how my first trades went... Well I lost money :) I'm in the 95% of people that are loosing money.
After the trades I have been analysing myself and after the read I did I noticed the following:
* Not having a clear strategy
* Acting under pressure and fear
So even if I had some kind of strategy when I started to trade I was acting with fear of loosing money and not able to think clear and following the strategy just because I was scared.
So what now? I decided to start this post series to share with you my experience in the process to learn how to trade. There are a lot of posts of people talking about their experience when they are already successful in trading. I want to share with you a different experience, a person that is currently learning how to trade...
I will try to talk about some of the most important indicators that I plan to use, some strategy and also plans to write a bot that hopefully will remove the fear sentiment from trading and stick to the strategies :)
